Bug StompThe Software Engineering (SE) program at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) prides itself in providing an education that is relevant, innovative and fun. The employers of our graduates (and interns) say that the students "hit the ground running" at their companies. The fact that our students are effective in their jobs on "Day One" is not an accident. The faculty in the SE program work very hard to ensure that the curriculum being taught in the classroom is developed in close conjunction with industry professionals.

Bug StompBesides providing relevant education in the classroom, we constantly strive to provide students with an opportunity to interact with industry professionals. One such event was the "Bug Stomp" that was hosted by the SE program on March 15, 2008. Bug Stomp is a software testing competition that is open to all MSOE students. This event was sponsored by several companies this year - Astronautics Corporation of America, Northwestern Mutual, Rockwell Automation, Direct Supply, STAMP Technologies to name a few.

About 40 students participated in the competition, 11 industry professionals judged their work and $900 in cash was given away as prize money. You can find additional details about the annual competition at Dr. Darrin Rothe's BugStomp Web site. Enjoy some of the pictures that were taken at the event.
