- Applicants must have earned a bachelor of science degree in an appropriate discipline (biomedical engineering, biology, biomedical sciences, etc.) with an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale).
- At least one undergraduate course in physiology (or anatomy and physiology) is required. Recommended course work includes biochemistry, math, physics, and statistics.
- GRE general test scores having percentiles that average 50 percent or better.
- Two letters of recommendation. They are generally most useful if written by faculty members who can judge the applicant’s academic ability.
