Admission FAQs

What is required for admission into MSOE?
To be accepted into an MSOE program you will need to submit a complete file. We will need three things to be able to review your file for acceptance

  1. Application to MSOE (free when you apply online)
  2. Official high school transcripts
  3. ACT or SAT scores

After we receive all three of these items your file will be complete and an admission counselor will contact you about the status of your application.

What scholarships does MSOE offer?

MSOE offers a merit based scholarship to all of our accepted students. Because MSOE is a division III school we do not offer athletic scholarships. To find out more about scholarships, visit our Student Financial Services.

Does MSOE have on-campus housing?

Yes, MSOE has three residence halls. Two are for freshman and sophomores and one is reserved for our upperclassmen. To learn more, visit housing.

Does MSOE have internship opportunities?

Yes, MSOE has a strong and varied relationship with business and industry. When they want qualified interns, they turn to us! Our career placement center can help you learn more.

Where is the campus located?

MSOE is located in vibrant downtown Milwaukee just a few blocks from Lake Michigan.

What can students do on campus?

A wide variety of campus activities include 21 NCAA Division III athletics and more than 70 different clubs and organizations. You also can get involved with in the city. Our Student Life office has more information.

What is the placement rate at MSOE?

This past year MSOE students enjoyed a placement rate of 98%.

How big are the classes at MSOE?

The average class size at MSOE is 21 students. MSOE students are taught exclusively by faculty members. MSOE does not have any teaching assistants. The current student faculty ratio is 12:1.

How can a student visit campus?

What makes MSOE unique?

MSOE offers acceptance directly into the student's choice of program. Students will start in their major their freshman year! We also guarantee a four-year graduation for those students who stay on their curriculum track. See our Academic Departments for more details.

What resources are available to MSOE students?
