Raiders sit in 20th after first round of NCAA Championship

After the first day of the NCAA Division III Championship, the MSOE men's golf team stands tied for 20th out of the 40 teams at the event. The Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. is the host for this year's tournament. As a team, the Raiders carded a score of 305 which is 17 over par. Junior Dane Zachman was the low man for MSOE as he is tied for 43rd after shooting a two-over par 74.
Senior Peter Eich is two strokes behind and is tied for 77th while senior Jason Arnes recorded a score of 77 at five-over par. Senior Ben Turk shot a 78 while freshman Scott Loftus ended the first round with a score of 82. The second round will take place Wednesday with MSOE teeing off at 6 a.m. on the West Course.
