Sophomore forward Jordan Keizer scored two goals and junior goaltender Connor Toomey made 26 saves as the No. 10 Raiders shut out Lake Forest 3-0 Friday night on the road. Keizer entered the weekend as the country's leading goal scoer. Toomey now has four shutouts which is a new MSOE single season record. He also broke Matt Burzon's record for wins in a season as he picked up his 15th victory on the year.
Keizer started the scoring at the 9:04 mark of the first period. His goal was assisted by sophomore forwards Nick Gorup and Bradley Tierney. In the second period, junior forward Todd Krupa scored his 15th goal of the season from sophomore froward Mike Pao and freshman defenseman Michael Thompson. Keizer got his 21st goal of the year at the 16:16 mark of the second. That goal was set up by Thompson and freshman forward Ben Lauder.
The Raiders (18-3-1, 15-1-1 MCHA) will host the Foresters Saturday at the Kern Center at 7:05 p.m.
