MSOE Hockey to Host Opening Round of MCHA Playoffs

The MSOE Raiders men's hockey team will host the Lawrence University Vikings this weekend at the Kern Center in the opening round of the MCHA playoffs. MSOE is the four seed in the tournament and Lawrence is the five seed. The opening round consists of two games plus a mini-game if necessary. The first game will be this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Kern Center Hockey Arena. The second game of the opening round will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
This following information comes from the MCHA website - www.mchahockey.com about the set-up of the opening round:
"If after the second game of the weekend, the teams have tied both or split the series, a Mini-Game will be played after resurfacing the ice. Teams will play one full 20-minute period (mini-game) to determine a winner. If a winner has not been determined, 20-minute sudden death periods shall used to determine a winner and team to advance to the next round."
The ticket prices for the games will be the same as the regular season which is five dollars for adults, four dollars for senior citizens and three dollars for students.
MSOE will also host the MCHA Harris Cup Four which consists of the semifinals and championship for the conference. Those games will take place March 1 and 2.
