MSOE's Meier Named NAC Rookie of the Year, Murphy First Team All-NAC

Milwaukee, WI - MSOE Raiders freshman forward Austin Meier (Oshkosh, WI/Oshkosh West) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Rookie of the Year for the 2007-08 men's basketball season. Senior forward Scott Murphy (Sheboygan, WI/Sheboygan South) was selected First Team All-NAC for his performance during this past season.
Meier led the Raiders in rebounding (6.1 per game), steals (44) and field goal percentage (.580). He also scored 11.4 points per game for the season. Meier is also a member of the NAC All-Rookie Team. Murphy led MSOE in points per game (14.5), blocks (23) and free-throw percentage (.799). He was second on the team in assists (52), steals (32) and rebounding (5.0 per game). Murphy was also selected as an Honorable Mention for the Inside Wisconsin Sports All-State teams.
MSOE finished the season with a 11-7 conference record and a 17-10 overall record. The Raiders won a school record nine consecutive games during NAC play.
