Rockford, Ill.- Freshman forward Jessica Axt secured her name in the MSOE record book by breaking the school record for most goals scored in a single season with 20 goals. Axt scored a hat trick, leading the Raiders to a 10-0 win over Rockford College and surpassing Cheryl Schneider (18 goals) and Desiree Dugan (19) on the single season goal list.
Axt was not the only player to break records in the game. Sophomore Mindy Donald's two assists for the game brings her total to 14 for the season, also a school single season mark.
The game was also a record setter for MSOE women's soccer as their eleventh win breaks the mark for most wins in a season by the program. MSOE has a 6-6 record in the conference with a winner-take -all scenario against Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday, October 28 in Watertown, Wisconsin. The winner will qualify for the NAC playoffs, which starts next week.
