Sowinski, Schultz earn NAC volleyball honors

Senior outside hitter Allie Sowinski (Franklin, Wis./ Pius XI) was named to the All Northern Athletic Conference team announced today. Also, receiving NAC recognition was freshman Katie Schultz (Davenport, Iowa/Davenport) named to the NAC All Rookie team.
Sowinski was second in the conference averaging 4.1 kills per set and second in service aces with 21 on the season, a .55 per set average. She will graduate MSOE as the school's all-time career leader in kills (1841), attack percentage (230%), kills per game (4.13) and service aces (310). This is Sowinski's second ALL-NAC selection her fourth all conference selection overall (Association of D3 Independents-2006, Lake Michigan Conference-2005).
As a freshman, Schultz did her own part in helping the team to a fourth place tie in the ![]()
conference standings. The 5-11 outside hitter was second on the team in kills (172), and service aces (36); both behind Sowinski.
The Raiders finish the season with a 16-15 overall record and 7-5 against NAC competition.
