Maio finishes 82nd at NCAA Cross Country Championships

Hanover, Ind. - Senior Dominic Maio placed 82nd overall among the 278 competing at the NCAA National Championships, held at Hanover College in Hanover Indiana. Maio's time of 25:29.24 over the 8-kilometer course was the fastest finish by a Northern Athletics Conference runner in the meet. The top 35 finishers received All American status at the meet.
The fastest time of the day belonged to Peter Kosgei from Hamilton with a time of 24:22.03. Cortland State College won the championship, scoring 80 points. North Central College (115), Williams (129), Wisconsin Stevens Point (201) and Calvin (239) followed them in the team standings.
Maio finished his illustrious career as the first and only MSOE male cross-country runner to qualify for nationals.
