Milwaukee, Wis.-Behind Carol Cayo's 21 points and 19 rebounds, The MSOE Raiders defeat Northern Athletic Conference foe Dominican University 58 - 48 Monday night in the Kern Center Arena. Cayo, a six-foot freshman forward, grabbed 19 rebounds tying her season high in the NAC South Division contest.
Cayo received help in the scoring column from junior center Jackie Bertram and freshman guard Megan Syvertson, adding 14 and 8 points, respectively. As a team, the Raiders took advantage of their foul shooting, hitting 19-of-28 from the foul line for a 67.9% average, compared to Dominican's 11-of-22 shooting from the charity stripe.
The Raiders play their second of a three game home stand on Thursday as they face cross-town rival Alverno Inferno. The tipoff is slated for 7pm.
