Men's Volleyball shocks No. 6 Ramapo 3-1

Buffalo, New York-After falling to Ramapo College in the first set 30-25, the MSOE Raiders rallied to comeback and defeat the sixth ranked Roadrunners in four sets by the scores of 25-30, 30-22, 34-32 and 30-22.

The Raiders were led by junior Glenn Frazee with 17 kills and a .324 hitting percentage. Seniors Bryce Kingsley and Dan Goray each added 11 kills apiece. Sophomore middle hitter Chris Reininger had nine kills in the win.

Sophomore Libero Jon Holzbauer was the mainstay of the Raider defense picking up 19 digs on the night. Kingsley and setter Chris Brandt tallied ten digs each.

The Raiders set a new team match record with 15.5 blocks on the night. Goray led the team with four blocks, while junior Petr Koukal had 2.5 blocks in the final two sets of the match.

Setter Chris Brandt had a four set 55 assists, on a .470 setting percentage. MSOE had 61 kills, 25 errors on 144 attempts for a .280 hitting percentage for the match. Koukal led the team hitting percentage with a .455 average, (5-0-11) while Goray was 11-2-22, hitting .409 in the contest.

MSOE finishes their six-day, six-match, Buffalo trip with DYouville on Sunday at 10am, followed by Medaille Sunday afternoon at 2pm.
