Milwaukee, Wis. - Andrew Walhausser sent a header into the goal, off a corner kick from Brandon Crozier with 15 minutes remaining in the game, lifting the MSOE Raiders over the Aurora Spartans in an important conference game. This is MSOE's first victory over Aurora University in the team's history.
It look liked the Spartans would take lead in the 33rd minute of play when they were awarded a penalty kick However, Aurora's Nick Helmers kick was stopped when MSOE goalie Alex Mejac made a diving left handed save. Mejac had seven saves for the game. The Raiders outshot the Spartans 13-12 on their way to the win.
The Raiders have a tough week ahead of them as they face undefeated conference teams in Edgewood on Wednesday and Dominican on Saturday.
