Track finishes fifth and sixth at Wisconsin Private Schools event

MSOE took part in the Wisconsin Private Schools event this past Saturday in Waukesha, Wis. The men's team finished in fifth place while the women's squad came home in sixth.
Sophomore Emily Dieringer won the 100 meter hurdles race with a time of 15.80, was third in the 200 meter dash and fifth in the pole vault. Sophomore Amanda Heller was third and freshman Katelyn Herrmann sixth in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Sophomore Carol Cayo finished fifth in the 400 meter hurdles event. Freshman Karly Nehls was sixth in the triple jump. Freshman Anete Zagare came in sixth in the 800 meter run.
Senior Zak Lutz won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:44:68. Freshman Jim Franke came home first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.45. Freshman Jordan Werner finished in second place in the 100 meter dash and third in the 200 meter dash. Todd Krupa came in second in the pole vault and freshman Matt Weber was fourth in that same event. Sophomore Arthur Weborg finished third in the triple jump. Junior Michael Jasperson was fourth in the hammer throw.
This Saturday, the Raiders will compete in the NAC Championships which are hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran in Milwaukee.
