Men's Lacrosse season recap

MSOE competed in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) during the 2010 season which was the debut year for the MLC. The conference is the first in the Midwest for NCAA men's lacrosse.
The MLC includes Adrian College, Albion College, Aurora University, Carthage College, Concordia University of Wisconsin, Fontbonne University, Mount St. Joseph's College and Trine University. Aurora and Concordia-Wisconsin will join varsity competition in 2011. MSOE Director of Athletics Dan Harris is the first commissioner of the MLC.
Junior Kyle Welsh (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) and freshman Vince Witt (Iverness, Ill./St. Viator) were named Honorable Mention All-MLC for their play during the 2010 season. Welsh scored 15 goals for the Raiders this past season. He scored three goals against Otterbein and St. John Fisher. Also, Welsh logged two goals twice in games during the 2010 campaign.
Junior Lucas Marshall (Madison, Wis./LaFollette) had 13 goals for MSOE in 2010. Brian Power and junior Andrew Rajek (Wausau, Wis./Wausau West) each had eight goals for the Raiders. Junior Matt McGovern (St. Paul, Minn./Hill-Murray) had five goals this past season.
Sophomore Keith Westpfahl (Dubuque, Iowa/Hempstead) and senior Ian Wilson (Wilmette, Ill./Loyola Academy) split time in net for MSOE in 2010.
