Men's Basketball Announces 2010 Recruiting Class

The MSOE Raiders men's basketball program has announced its 2010 recruiting class. The Raiders landed 11 players including ten freshmen and one transfer. Highlights of the class include:
Derek Watton is a 6'3" wing player from McDonnell Central High School in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Watton averaged 16 points per game and was named to the first team of the Cloverbelt West Conference for the 2nd consecutive year. He also was chosen by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as a representative for the state All-Star Game for Division 4. Watton will study biomedical engineering at MSOE.
John Cording is a 6'2" point guard from Menomonee Falls High School. Cording was named to the second team all-conference for the Greater Metro Conference and helped lead Falls to the sectional title game. He was chosen as an alternate for the WBCA All-Star Game for Division 1. Cording will study business.
Nathan Gibson is a 6'9" center from Wisconsin Dells. Gibson averaged 12 points per game as he lead high school team to the South Central Conference championship. He was a unanimous first team all-conference selection and named the Wisconsin Dells High School male athlete of the year. Gibson will study mechanical engineering.
Conor Cassidy is a 6'0" shooting guard from Menomonee Falls High School who teamed with Cording to form a rock solid backcourt. Cassidy was also named to the second team all-conference for the Greater Metro Conference. Cassidy will be a business major.
Mitch Trewyn is a 6'7" center/forward from Milton, Wisconsin. Trewyn averaged 9 points per game and made honorable mention all-conference in the Badger South. Trewyn will study management information systems.
Jaren Singh is a 6'7" center from Madison LaFollette High School. Singh averaged 12 points per game and made honorable mention all-conference in the Big 8 conference. Singh will be a business major at MSOE.
Out of state recruits include:
Victor Sanchez Bande is a 6'5" forward from Madrid, Spain. Bande spent 1 year at the University of Rio Grande an NAIA division I school. He averaged 3 points per game as a freshman reserve forward. Bande will be studying Mechanical Engineering.
David Wilson a 5'9" point guard from Troy, Ohio where he attended Troy High School. Wilson averaged 7 points and 3 assists per game for the 14-7 Trojans. He was named second team all-conference. Wilson will study Mechanical Engineering.
Aaron Lubitz is a 6'7" power forward from Belding, Michigan. Lubitz averaged 6 points and 10 rebounds per game and was named academic all-state three years in a row. He will study Architectural engineering.
Veric Nichols is a 6'4" forward from Niwot High in Longmont, Colorado. Nichols was selected to the second team All- Area. Nichols will study software engineering.
Logan Davis is a 6'0" guard from Chicago, Illinois where he attended Walther Lutheran High school. Davis will study business.
