MSOE women's soccer loses 1-0 battle to Benedictine


Despite outshooting their opponent 18-10, the MSOE Raiders women's soccer team were defeated by the Benedictine Eagles 1-0 in an early evening contest in Milwaukee, Wis. The only goal of the game came with 13 minutes remaining in the game, off a shot by Kat Lipke, giving the Eagles the victory.

The Raiders had six shots by the NCAA leader in goals and points freshman Paula Bohl, followed by MSOE career goal and points leader junior Jessica Axt with five. Goalkeeper Michelle Del Sarto came up with seven saves in the Eagle win.

MSOE (8-5-1, 6-1-1 NAC) will travel to Sheboygan, Wis. to face Lakeland on Wednesday, Oct. 13. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
