Brehmer named Academic All-District

MILWAUKEE -- MSOE women's soccer senior midfielder Heidi Brehmer was selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District Third Team for District 5. Brehmer majors in Architectural Engineering and holds a GPA of 3.51.
The Eagle River, Alaska native had 31 goals, 20 assists and 82 points during her career at MSOE. The 31 goals are tied for the second most in school history. Brehmer was named to the First Team All-NAC in 2007 and Second Team All-NAC in 2008. She scored a team-leading 12 goals during her freshman season in 2007.
Brehmer played in 75 games at MSOE and started 74 of them. MSOE finished the 2010 season with an 11-7-2 overall record and was 8-2-2 in the NAC. The year was highlighted by a six-match winning streak in September.
Nominations and voting for the All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
