Keizer's hat trick puts MSOE hockey past 15th ranked Marian

Sophomore Jordan Keizer netted his second hat trick of the season as the Raiders beat 15th ranked Marian 4-2 Saturday night at Kern Center in downtown Milwaukee. MSOE entered the weekend just outside the USCHO.com Division III Men's Poll.

The Raiders started the scoring when freshman Ben Lauder picked up his second goal of the season just 1:28 into the game. That goal was set up by freshman Kevin Medina. Keizer scored his first goal of the night just over a minute later from sophomore captain Bradley Tierney and freshman West Bauman. At the 7:17 mark of the first period, Keizer logged a power play goal again assisted by Tierney and Bauman.

After two second period goals by Marian, Keizer sealed the victory with another power play goal at the 18:53 mark of the third period. Keizer now has eight goals on the year. Junior goaltender Connor Toomey made 21 saves in the win.

MSOE (5-0, 5-0 MCHA) now heads to Fond du Lac, Wis. to play the Sabres Sunday at 3 p.m.
