MSOE hockey sweeps 15th ranked Marian after 2-1 road victory

Senior Michael Soik scored at the 2:04 mark of the third period as the Raiders knocked off No. 15 Marian 2-1 at the Blue Line Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac, Wis. MSOE is now 6-0 overall and in MCHA play.
Soik's 44th career goal was assisted by junior Todd Krupa who now has nine points this season. The Raiders started the game's scoring in the first period with a goal from freshman Michael Thompson set up by sophomore Jordan Keizer. The Sabres cut the lead in half in the second period but would not score again. Junior goaltender Connor Toomey stopped 30 shots to pick up his fifth win on the year.
MSOE is now off until Friday, Dec. 3 when they play a non-conference game against St. Mary's at the Kern Center. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m.
