Iversen leads MSOE softball past Rockford in Game 1 victory

Junior pitcher Jessica Iversen threw a complete game against Rockford in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday on the road. Iversen allowed one earned run and struck out seven as she earned her fifth victory on the year. The Raiders knocked off the Regents 5-2. Sophomore Julie Windish went 3-4 and sophomore Lianna Campos was 2-3 with three RBI. Junior Elise Pinkerton also went 2-3.
In the second game, Campos and Windish each had three hits including a double. Campos had three more RBI and Windish drove in two runs in the 8-7 defeat. Iversen and Pinkerton each recorded two hits.
MSOE will face Concordia-Chicago Tuesday in River Forest, Ill.
