MSOE men's tennis falls in NAC Tournament Final


The Raiders men's tennis team came up just short of returning to the NCAA Championship as they fell to Concordia-Wisconsin Friday 5-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament Final. Earlier in the day, MSOE knocked off Concordia-Chicago 5-1 in the semifinals of the tournament.

The NAC Individual Championship took place over the weekend as well in Kohler, Wis. In singles competition, senior Dustin Holzhauer reached the semifinals where he fell to Brian Tresedder of Concordia-Wisconsin who ended up winning the championship. Holzhauer was 3-1 during the tournament. Junior Juan Montenegro made it to the quarterfinals where he was also beat by Tresedder.

On the doubles side, freshman Eric Klamrowski and Montenegro reached the semifinals where they were beat by Pat Schramka and Skip Turner of Concordia-Wisconsin. Klamrowksi and Montenegro beat teammates Holzhauer and junior Mark Schadler in the quarterfinals.
