MSOE baseball takes two from Maranatha

The Raiders took it to Maranatha Thursday in Watertown, Wis. MSOE won the first game 7-0 and took the second 17-1. Senior Emery Hull was 4-6 with five RBI, two doubles and two runs in the second game. Also in that game, freshman starting pitcher Lucas Yogerst pitched a complete game and allowed one earned run while striking out four. Freshman Alex Luna logged three hits and two RBI and freshman Adam Vlaj and sophomore Wes Stasik each scored three runs and had two hits. Junior Mike Ricciardi was 2-3 with three RBI.
As for the first game, freshman starting pitcher David Miklosi threw seven shutout innings to earn the victory. He struck out seven batters. Hull homered for the Raiders while Stasik and freshman Maxwell Poeske each had three hits.
MSOE is back in action Saturday against Benedictine in Lisle, Ill. at noon.
