MSOE wrestling edges Lakeland in NWA dual

The Raiders defeated Lakeland 23-21 Friday night in Sheboygan. The Northern Wrestling Association dual came down to the last match of the night. This is the first dual victory for MSOE against the Muskies since Jan. 11, 2006. Lakeland is the three-time defending champions of the conference.
Seniors Sam and Dominick Deligio both picked up victories at 125 and 133, respectively. Dominick Deligio pinned John Wormwood at 5:43 into the match. Junior Jake Narveson won by major decision over Rob Frias 10-2 as Sam Deligio also won by major decision 13-3 against Grant Franson.
At 165 pounds, senior Samuel Bramstedt knocked off Brandon Garcia 6-1. Sophomore Caleb Staub pinned Chris Weber at 6:24 mark of the match at the 184-pound weight class.
The Raiders (7-2 duals) will host Maranatha Baptist Thursday night at the Kern Center in another NWA dual at 7 p.m.
