MSOE lacrosse falls in season opener against Hanover

The Raiders opened their 2011 season Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind. against Hanover and lost 6-4 in the non-conference game. Senior Lucas Marshall and junior Andrew Rajek each scored twice for MSOE. Marshall led the Raiders with 17 shots while Rajek recorded 13 shots.
Junior Keith Westpfahl started in goal for MSOE and made two saves. Marshall scored with 14:31 left in the first quarter as the Raiders struck first. However, Hanover scored the next three goals. MSOE came back to tie the game at 3 and 4 but Hanover netted two goals in the final 5:30 of the game to pick up the victory.
The Raiders (0-1) will face the University of Dallas Thursday, March 24 at Hart Park in Wauwatosa, Wis.
