Narveson earns at-large bid to Division III Wrestling Championships

Junior Jake Narveson placed fourth at 141 pounds at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Wrestling Regional and earned an at-large bid to the Division III Championships. Narveson recorded 13.5 points for MSOE who placed tenth at the event as a team with a total of 28.5 points. Defending national champion Augsburg won the regional.
Narveson (36-10) went 3-2 on the day including two victories via pin. Senior Virgil Pope finished in sixth place in the 157-pound weight class. Sophomore Joshua Wengerter was 2-2 at 149 pounds for 2.5 points and senior Samuel Bramstedt was also 2-2 at the 165-pound weight class including a victory by pin for 3.5 points.
The NCAA Division III Championships will take place March 11-12 in La Crosse, Wis.
