The 2009 men’s soccer season has been a banner year for the Raiders and Head Coach Jimmy Banks. In the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) preseason poll, the conference coaches predicted MSOE to finish fifth, but Banks and the Raiders exceeded everyone’s expectations, completing the regular season with a 9-1-1 NAC.

The MSOE Raiders men’s and women’s cross country teams completed their season by competing at the Midwest Regionals, held November 14, 2009 at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The men’s team placed 26th , while the women placed 37th overall.

MSOE dominated the first two periods but Marian came on strong in the third period scoring two quick goals and handed MSOE their first loss of the season and are now 4-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the conference.
