Job Description:
Perform administrative support of MSOE's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot various software and server hardware related issues.
- Work with IT staff members to provide a high level of uptime for all IT infrastructure including Servers, SAN storage, Networking, and Telecommunications.
- Work with IT and Web Services in providing programming skills to allow various systems to communicate with each other.
- Provide 3rd level support to all members of the MSOE community.
- Work with IT staff members to complete assignments and projects as needed.
- Be part of an on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Server OS (2003-2008R2) required.
- An understanding of programming and scripting using PHP, Perl, XML, SQL, HTML highly desirable.
- Knowledge of WMW are a plus but not required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the MSOE community and IT staff.
