FPIC Quarterly Seminar Agenda
9:00a.m. - 9:10 a.m. Welcome and Opening Remarks
Representatives from NFPA and MSOE will call us to order and provide an overview of today’s program and the supporting organizations.
9:10a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the Importance of Hydraulics
Gary Kassen, Engineering Director for Hydraulics and Pneumatics, CNH Industrial
This presentation introduces the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and its application in
setting sustainability and carbon reduction goals at CNH Industrial. Impacts of SBTi on the
requirements for high performance and productivity fluid power systems are explored.
9:45 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. Significance of 1mA for Mobile Hydraulic Automation
Presenter to be determined, HUSCO INTERNATIONAL
While there is great value in enabling automation of off-highway machines, there are still challenges with controls. This presentation will highlight the importance of precise control for hydraulic systems, and how simplifying the controls enables more rapid development and deployment of advanced machine features and automation.
10:20a.m. - 11:00a.m. Design Strategies for Optimizing Hydraulic Reservoir Performance and Productivity
Marcus Herrera, Applications Engineer, Advanced Systems Team, Hydac International
In the dynamic landscape of the mobile hydraulic market, sustainability stands as an enduring priority amid evolving trends. Recognizing its role in industry, HYDAC has taken proactive measures to integrate sustainability into its own operations. By leveraging the design of both internal tools and external systems, HYDAC aims to facilitate the creation of environmentally conscious machinery within the industry.
During this presentation, Marcus Herrera will walk through HYDAC’s methodology for Filter-Tank Optimization, highlighting its significance as a critical subsystem for enhancing sustainability and machine performance in mobile machinery.
