Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) students enjoyed an Industry Day with alumni and industry advisory committee members from Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Six Rockwell Collins employees, mostly MSOE alumni, gave guest lectures in 15 classes, presented eight free hour talks to students, and sponsored a pizza dinner and keynote talk attended by approximately 175 EECS students. Four days later, 30 EECS students and four EECS faculty (Drs. Eric Durant, Mark Hornick, Mark Sebern and Steve Williams) traveled to Cedar Rapids for the day for a facility tour and reception with MSOE alumni working at Collins. "Rockwell Collins is interested in connecting with and hiring MSOE students as interns and full-time employees," said Dr. Eric Durant. "They are excited by the student turnout they got at the dinner and tour, and we're working with them on another large event for the coming year."
