Has your MSOE education prepared you for the workforce? If so, how?
Yes, it provided me with the basis need to succeed in my career. I started out as an IT consultant and was able to provide valuable contributions right out of school. As my career advanced I used the discipline I learned at MSOE to eventually start my own ISP and Web design company over 16 years ago. Since then JADE International as evolved into an online marketing and e-retailer.
Do you find that employers have a favorable image of MSOE graduates?
When I talk with colleagues and other business owners they think highly of MSOE gradutes.
What advice do you have for current or prospective MSOE students?
Learn as much as you can and get real-world experience while you are in school. Hands on is very important. Being book smart does not cut it.
What are your tips for success?
Work hard, do it right and give 110%.
