New York-based quartet Clem Snide brings its slow-tempo, country-tinged pop to Milwaukee School of Engineering's (MSOE) Todd Wehr Auditorium Saturday, Aug. 2.

The band was formed for more than a decade before its moment in the sun two years ago, when the title track from the “Moment in the Sun” EP was used as the theme song to the NBC television series “Ed.” The band released a new CD, “Soft Spot,” in June. Opening for Clem Snide is the multitalented Andrew Bird – minus his Bowl of Fire – and The Muldoons.

The all-ages show begins 7 p.m. at MSOE’s Todd Wehr Auditorium (1047 N. Broadway and Highland). Tickets are $10 in advance/$12 at the door. Advance tickets are available at www.wmse.musictoday.com and Atomic Records 1813 E. Locust St.

The show is sponsored by independent radio station WMSE 91.7 FM.
