This summer, high school students from across the country will converge on MSOE’s campus for two programs that help them focus on their future plans while having fun becoming an engineer or business professional for a week.
During Discover the Possibilities and Focus on the Possibilities programs, students attend classes, sleep in the residence halls, eat in the cafeteria and explore the city in activities such as concerts, tours, the IMAX theatre, bowling, and more. While it’s a lot of fun, it helps students explore how engineering, technology and business relate to the real world. The programs challenge the students with hand-on work in the MSOE labs, working closely with MSOE faculty and current students.
The programs are open to students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school and cost $650 including housing, meals and recreational activities.
Discover the Possibilities
July 13-18 and July 20-25
This program explores all kinds of engineering and technology fields. It emphasizes individual contributions to a team project and includes tours of local industries to see what professionals are doing today.
Focus on the Possibilities
July 27 – Aug. 1
This program focuses on a specific engineering or information technology field through hands-on lab projects.
