School of Nursing recognizes National Nurses Week

Join MSOE School of Nursing in celebration of the nursing profession with National Nurses Week, May 6-12, and Florence Nightingale's birthday on the 12th. The theme for the week is "Nurses lifting spirits, Touching Lives." Let's recognize nurses' dedication, unique expertise, and vital contributions to health care.
MSOE's first class of 11 nursing students graduated in 1999 and there are currently about 60 students in the program. The MSOE chapter of the national Student Nurses Association has participated in a variety of community service events this year. Activities included participating in several fundraising runs for charities, providing a Teddy Bear Health Clinic for children in the Head Start program, and making sandwiches for lunches for the homeless. Kudos to the nursing students that are preparing to meet the health care needs of our society!
