The following checklists are guides for you during the application process. Professional Development Advisors are also available to assist you through the process.
Part-time Transfer Checklist
Apply for Admission
The following steps are required for part-time working professionals students to complete the application process:
- Complete a transfer application - It's free online.
- Send your official college transcripts from each college attended.
- Send your official high school transcripts if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits.
- Send your ACT or SAT scores if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits and if you graduated from high school less than two years ago.

MSOE does not have any
deadlines for application, as we are on a rolling admission. An admissions decision
will be made within one to two weeks of receiving all information. Students are
notified once an admission decision has been made.
Credit Transfer Evaluation
You will also be mailed your official
credit evaluation within approximately four weeks of your acceptance. To view
which classes may transfer, visit the online
transfer manual.
Apply for Financial Aid
Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, loans and work-study. In order to apply for aid you must complete the following steps:
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form can be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Make sure to include the school code for MSOE when completing the form: 003868
You may complete the FAFSA
after Jan. 1 of each year. You do not have to be accepted to file the FAFSA;
however you must be accepted to MSOE in order to receive your final award.
Visit Campus
Open Houses for
working professionals take place several times a year at
convenient times.
Individual appointments with a Professional Development Advisor can be
made by contacting the Admission Office at 1-800-332-6763. Appointments are
available in the evening, too.
Register for classes
Registration takes place in the three to four weeks prior to each academic quarter. Students will meet with their program director to determine their academic schedule.

- Apply online for free.
- Submit all official undergraduate colllege transcripts directly to MSOE.
- Submit offical GRE or GMAT scores (depending on the program).
- Submit two to three letters of recommendation (depending on the program).
- Submit personal essay.

Once a graduate application file is complete, an admission decision will be made by the program director. Although MSOE does not have an application deadline, please allow sufficient time for the application materials to be recieved and reviewed prior to the start of the academic quarter for which you are applying.
