We Energies STEM Center
Our Mission & Vision
The We Energies STEM Center at MSOE creates and supports inclusive, meaningful experiences for all K-12 students to explore the possibilities of their future, regardless of where their post-high school journey may take them.
With a vision to empower all students to see the world through an engineering mindset, the Center hosts year-round, hands-on programs in subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and robotics to engineering design challenges. Serving nearly 6,000 students annually, the STEM Center plays a critical role in advancing STEM opportunities for all students in the greater Milwaukee area.
About the Center
The We Energies STEM Center at MSOE, located at 1444 N. Water St., is Milwaukee’s premier STEM destination for K-12 students. Created in 2020 in partnership with We Energies, Rockwell Automation, American Family Insurance, Scott & Linda Haag, and Northwestern Mutual, the STEM Center enables students from any school—public, private, charter and homeschool—to have access to hands-on, one-of-a-kind STEM experiences.
The 10,000-square-foot STEM Center features a flexible technology studio, design and development lab, machine tooling area, and a FIRST Robotics playing field for teams to practice on a regulation field before they compete.
Tools, resources, mentors and inclusive programming offer endless opportunities for Milwaukee’s youth to explore, create and get hooked on STEM.
