Dr. Eric Baumgartner, MSOE executive vice president of academics, will speak at +Venture North, an invitation-only event designed to bring together select corporate innovation teams, VCs, and startup founders for a day of learning, networking and community building while also showcasing Wisconsin’s innovation. The event is organized by NVNG.

Baumgartner will join Rajesh Namboothiry, SVP North America at Manpower Group; Rahil Siddiqui, founder and CEO at Wilya; and Ashley Becker, VP of talent at Milwaukee Tool for a panel discussion focused on Future-Proofing Talent: Cultivating Culture & Skills for Tomorrow’s Workforce.

Attendees will explore the evolving landscape of talent management and organizational culture while addressing the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of micro and macro factors affecting the workforce, including the impact of AI, shifts in educational paradigms, and strategies for bridging talent mismatches. The session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the future of work, highlighting key strategies for managing talent, embracing technological advancements, and preparing for demographic shifts.

MSOE students are ready to hit the ground running upon graduation thanks to the university’s focus on experiential learning. They are well-versed in artificial intelligence and applying it in their careers. Baumgartner also will highlight the MSOE Mindset and how it prepares students (and their employers) for success. The MSOE Mindset is an assimilation of the Servant-Leader Mindset, the Entrepreneurial Mindset, and the university’s mission, vision and values. It identifies MSOE graduates as leaders of character, responsible professionals, passionate learners and leaders of character.
