Milwaukee School of Engineering ranks #1 in Wisconsin (34th in the nation) for offering the best value for students when compared to all other colleges and universities in the state according to finance technology company SmartAsset. The company determined its College Education Value Index for 2022 by gathering information from the National Center for Education Statistics, PayScale Earnings Reports, and The Institute for College Access & Success. According to its website, SmartAsset compares schools based on a variety of financial factors and data sets, including starting salary, tuition, living expenses, student retention rate, and scholarships awarded. This is the seventh year in a row MSOE has led the state.
