Milwaukee School of Engineering was once again recognized for a state-best ROI (return on investment) in a report from the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW). The report includes over 4,600 colleges and universities across the United States—both private and public—ranking their ROI over periods of 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 years. Among the full field of 4,600 institutions, MSOE ranked 50th.

MSOE’s individual ROI across multiple years were the following:

  • 10-year: $299,000
  • 15-year: $743,000
  • 20-year: $1,188,000
  • 30-year: $2,077,000
  • 40-year: $2,967,000

In the three years the CEW has issued these findings, MSOE has remained number one in the state.

The Report calculates ROI using the variables from the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard including students’ median earnings 6 years, 8 years, and 10 years after they enroll at an institution, the average net price of the institution, and the predominant credential awarded at the institution.
