Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Students from universities across the nation come to MSOE to take advantage of our unique research opportunities. Maybe you’ll work side by side with faculty and staff in the Applied Technology CenterTM, researching developments in fluid power, tribology, rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing and much more. Or perhaps you’ll team up with MSOE faculty on research projects within your academic program. Both of the following programs provide invaluable, resume-building experiences:
Academic Undergraduate Research (AUR)
MSOE’s AUR program provides opportunities for MSOE students to participate in faculty-led research projects during the academic year.
Humanities, Social Science and Communication (HSC)
For students with a junior standing and 3.2 GPA or higher, the HSC department is offering research opportunities. Work independently and gain self-confidence along with practical, hands-on knowledge while working on something you are interested in, and receive HU, SS or UX credit.
Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
MSOE’s REU program gives students from across the nation experience in industries like biomedical, aerospace, composite and fluid power.
