W. Wallace Cannon, Jr. Society

The W. Wallace Cannon, Jr. Alumni Society, established in 2024, honors the legacy of W. Wallace Cannon, Jr., the first African American graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The society was created to unite African American alumni, fostering both social and professional connections.

Through social engagement, the society provides opportunities for alumni to connect, build a strong sense of community, and support each other. Additionally, the society offers mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities to help members advance in their careers while maintaining strong ties to MSOE. The society is also dedicated to supporting current and future students through scholarships, promoting access to education, and empowering the next generation of Black engineers and professionals at MSOE.
